Sheriff's office: Two men arrested for possession of narcotics after traffic stop

Two men were arrested and charged after deputies found narcotics during a traffic stop on Wednesday.

According to the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed a traffic violation near the intersection of the I-45 west service road and Business 45 in Corsicana.

It then led to the seizure of approximately five grams of methamphetamine, numerous fake identification cards, numerous articles of paperwork with personal identifying information, numerous credit cards in several different peoples names, numerous receipts with credit card payments under different names and electronic equipment.

The suspects were believed to be from the Houston area but were coming from the Dallas area.

One suspect gave deputies a fictitious name and date of birth but was later correctly identified. Deputies then found a felony theft warrant out in the suspect's name in Harris County.

The other suspect was found to be concealing narcotics on him during the booking process after arrival to the jail, according to the NCSO.

One suspect was charged with manufacture/ delivery of controlled substance and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

The second suspect was charged with manufacture/ delivery of controlled substance, failure to identify as a fugitive, giving false information and a Harris County felony warrant for theft $2,500-$30,000.

The NCSO is further investigating by attempting to make contact with the possible victims of suspected theft and fraud.
