The Bell County Sheriff's Department is joining the Neighbors app to provide the community with real-time crime and safety information.
The department said the Neighbors network has been instrumental in catching package thieves, stopping burglaries and keeping neighborhoods safe.
"Real-time communication is key to preventing and solving crimes in our communities," said Major T.J. Cruz, Assistant Chief Deputy with the Bell County Sheriff’s Department. "We look forward to using the free Neighbors App to share and receive critical information with Bell County communities and hope to see our residents utilizing this new and exciting tool."
The app can be used to monitor neighborhood activity, share crime and safety-related videos, photos and text-based posts and receive safety alerts from neighbors, law enforcement and the Ring team.
