The City of Temple is set to close Old Waco Road for two weeks.
According to the city, they will close Old Waco Road south of W. Adams Avenue for a period of two weeks beginning Sept. 17 and ending Sept. 30.
The purpose of the road closure is for the replacement of box culverts at the Thompson Channel, south of Conner Park and north of Brandon Drive.
The work being done will alleviate flooding events in nearby neighborhoods.
The road is set to reopen to traffic on Oct. 1.
