A McLennan County man was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender on Tuesday.
Kevin James Dudik was arrested for solicitation of a minorby the Woodway Public Safety Department in February, and by September he was back in jail for failing to comply with sex offender registry requirements.
According to the arrest affidavit, McLennan County Sheriff's Deputies learned where Dudik was living based on information he had given his probation officer. Dudik also contacted Waco police about registering as a sex offender and was told he needed to register with McLennan County with the address he provided.
Deputies learned Dudik did not register with the county as told.
He was released from jail on Aug. 28 and given seven days. More than 12 days after his release, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was arrested on Sept. 11 and taken to the McLennan County Jail.
