The folks at REACH Therapeutic Riding Center were all smiles this after receiving a check for $3,6000.

This gift comes from the Waco Association of Realtors. This group gives back to the community throughout the year by making donations to local organizations.

REACH serves people of all ages who come to them with different physical, mental and emotional needs.

Its eight horses serve around 80 riders each week, helping them build their confidence while improving their health.

"It's just a program that needs help," said Jackie Fatten, a real estate agent with Kelly Realtors. "They work with the veterans, they work with children, they work with adults and it's just something that we felt needed to be done."

REACH Executive Director Kristin Bolfing-Volcik said the money will go towards buying helmets, saddles and other gear for their riders.

"It's just so nice to be able to have people in the community that care and believe in what we do because we come out here every day and work really hard to put on a really quality program," Bolfing-Volcik said.

Bolfing-Volcik said REACH is always looking for volunteers and donations. It can take up to 12 volunteers for each lesson and hundreds of dollars to keep the place running each day.
