A suspect trying to evade arrest was taken into custody after leading officials on a multi-city chase.

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office said that Hubbard police were chasing the suspect into Limestone County around 9 p.m. Sunday.

The chase went into Mexia, where officials were able to deploy "stop sticks" and a "rolling roadblock" to stop the suspect. The chase ended near Manor Nursing Home on SH 171.

The suspect was taken to Hill County Jail and suspected of driving while under the influence.

Hubbard police, Mexia police and the Department of Public Safety were also on scene.
