The Waco Police Department identified the victim of Monday's shooting as 26-year-old Brian Jones of Lacy-Lakeview. Jones was shot at least once in the abdomen. There is no update on his condition at this time.

Police said another victim arrived at an area hospital around 4 p.m. on Monday. They have identified the second victim as 21-year-old D'Arise Holder. Holder told police he was shot during the altercation in the 2800 block of Summer. He had a minor wound to his left torso. Police also did not have an update on his condition.

Police are still searching for two men after the shooting in North Waco. Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said the shooting happened in the 2800 block of Summer Avenue just before 10 a.m.

Sinnika Calhoun who lives in that neighborhood said she didn't think it was a shooting at first.

“All of the sudden. I heard a bunch of pops. We thought someone was popping firecrackers. Came outside to look and all the sudden we saw three or four guys take off running," Calhoun said.

Officers found two cars, a gray Chevy Impala and a white Dodge Neon. that had collided and multiple casings in the street. Police said there is the possibility the white vehicle was parked when the incident happened. However, it's unknown that vehicle's involvement.

“It was really scary out there just to see all of this going on really early in the morning, with gunfire and cars crashed and everything," Calhoun said.

The bullets also hit the gray vehicle and a house nearby but no one at that home was injured

“Anytime you have two individuals exchanging gun fire, rounds are flying everywhere. We know we have multiple casings on the streets. We believe one home was hit at this point. Bullets don’t have names of them, folks," Swanton said. "Just because you are shooting at someone you are mad about. In this kind of incident, obviously a home was hit. That could've easily gone into a home and another human being."

Police said the suspects ran from the scene carrying some items with them.

The suspects have been described two black men between the ages of 19 and 25. One of them was described as having a skinny build, a goatee, a tan hoodie and striped long pants. The second person was described wearing black pants and a red or black mixed shirt.

“Our priority at this point is to find that individual and take him into custody safely. Get him off the streets, before anyone else gets hurt," Swanton said.
