Olivia Levada grew up moving around Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

Before her senior year of high school, she decided to pursue a career in broadcast and felt California was the best place to start.

Thus, the Midwestern native packed her bags and finished high school in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Olivia graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in June 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism.

During her time at Cal Poly Pomona, she hosted the Poly Talk Weekend Update Show, worked as editor-in-chief of The Poly Post Newspaper and received the Outstanding Journalism Student of the Year Award for the 2016-17 school year.

Olivia also interned at KABC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles, California.

Before joining the KXXV team, Olivia was scouted to work as a news correspondent for Dan Rather's News and Guts' "The Underreported."

When she is not reporting, Olivia likes to hike, travel and find new cafes.

What drives her passion for journalism is her love for learning about and meeting new people. She hopes to travel all over the world.

So far, she has visited nine countries. Her most memorable trip was when she studied abroad in Spain.

Olivia is excited to learn more about Central Texas and can't wait to make her mark at KXXV!
