The City of Gatesville is set to shut off the main water transmission line beginning Tuesday night.
According to the Gatesville Fire Department, beginning at 10:30 p.m., crews from the city, TTG Utilities and Hanson Pipe will be on-site to make repairs.
The goal is to finish the repairs at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
The city will utilize the elevated storage tanks throughout the night. However, the city asks residents to limit their water use on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
It is suggested to take showers on Tuesday before 10:30 p.m., fill pitchers of water for drinking and cooking and to not run dishwashers or washing machines during the time period, according to the Gatesville Fire Department.
