A man is in jail after police say he was found in a strangers' home, cooking.
Temple police say that Mario Gomez, 49, was found in a home on N. 15th Street in Temple Thursday evening. The residents told police that they returned to the home after being out and found Gomez in the home, cooking and holding a knife.
When officers arrived, Gomez was not on the scene but was found a block away.
Tires, a tablet and clothes were missing from the home.
Gomez was transported to Bell County Jail and is being held on a burglary charge.
