Seventh annual Waco ISD Family Fest to take place this weekend

Waco Independent School District's Seventh Annual Family Fest will take place this weekend. 

The free event will give parents the opportunity to register students for the 2018-2019 school year if they have not already done so.

Registered students will receive a voucher for a free backpack will school supplies at Family Fest, while supplies last. Families must attend the event at the high school they are zoned in to register and receive the vouchers.

There will be vision and dental screenings, blood pressure and cholesterol checks and immunizations available. If your student is in need of immunizations, parents are asked to bring an insurance card and a driver's license.

Bus transportation will be provided to and from all elementary and middle school campuses. For more information, visit wacoisd.org/familyfest.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Waco High School and University High School.

Students at the following schools should attend Family Fest at University High School:

  • Alta Vista Elementary
  • Bell's Hill Elementary
  • Cesar Chavez Middle School
  • Kendrick Elementary
  • South Waco Elementary

Students at the following schools should attend Family Fest at Waco High School:

  • Brazos High Credit Recovery Center
  • Brook Avenue Elementary
  • Cedar Ridge Elementary
  • Crestview Elementary
  • Dean Highland Elementary
  • G.W. Carver Middle School
  • J.H. Hines Elementary
  • Indian Spring Middle School
  • Mountainview Elementary
  • Parkdale PDS Elementary
  • Provident Heights Elementary
  • Tennyson Middle School / ATLAS
  • West Avenue Elementary

Lake Air Montessori Magnet and Hillcrest  PDS Elementary may go to both high schools for the event.
