An apartment fire in Temple displaced one person on Tuesday.
According to Temple Fire and Rescue, Temple firefighters responded to a reported fire call at 4:09 p.m. at the Kensington Apartments on 400 Fryers Creek Drive. There was observed smoke coming from inside a downstairs apartment.
The fire was quickly extinguished, and the apartment received fire, smoke and heat damage. The dollar loss for the apartment and contents is estimated at $25,000.
Firefighters determined that the cause of the fire was unintentional and started from a burner turned on a low setting on the electric range, according to Temple Fire and Rescue.
The fire was under control at 4:20 p.m. and the last unit was cleared at 5:09 p.m.
There were no reported injuries. One person was displaced due to the fire.
