Two drivers were killed after a head-on collision on Monday afternoon near Groesbeck, Texas Department of Public Safety said.

DPS said a Toyota Tacoma was driving on the wrong side of the road when it crashed into a Chevrolet Equinox on State Highway 164 near County Road 800.

The driver of the Toyota, 69-year-old Jack LaFoy, and the driver of the Chevrolet, 85-year-old Peggy Bloomer, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger of the Chevrolet was also taken to Limestone Medical Hospital with unknown injuries.

DPS would like to remind drivers to pay attention to your lane position, as knowing where you are on the roadway can possibly prevent a crash.
