A man was arrested after officials say he threatened to kill his ex-wife, her boyfriend and a judge.

The Department of Public Safety said that suspect Travis Sheppard, 38, had made threats to a judge, his ex-wife and her boyfriend in a conversation he was having with a friend.

Officials say that Sheppard had talked to his friend about his frustration with his ex-wife over their recent divorce and custody hearing. Sheppard had allegedly told his friend that he was going to Brazos County and alluded to "killing them all." Sheppard also said that when it was over, he would let law enforcement "take care of him."

That's when officials say that Sheppard left and got into another vehicle with two other people in separate cars. The friend called authorities and Sheppard was pulled over on a traffic offense.

When the vehicles were searched, officials found a rifle, handgun, pistol ammunition and rifle magazines belonging to Sheppard.

Sheppard was taken into the Bell County Jail and is being held on a $530,000 bond.
