Human remains have been found at a home where a missing 3-year-old was living.

According to Bryan police, they are currently working with Child Protective Services to locate Rayven Shields. Her mother, Virginia Adams, was not cooperating with CPS after they were given custody of Shields.

Adams was arrested and charged on Wednesday for interference with child custody. Police say that Adams was inconsistent with her story about where Rayven was located.

On Aug. 3, a search warrant was executed at a home in Bryan, where police said Rayven and her mother were living. Human remains were found in a garden in the home consistent with belonging to a child's.

It is unclear if the remains belong to Rayven. Officials are working to positively ID the remains.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Bryan police at (979) 361-3888 or Crime Stoppers at (979) 775-TIPS.
