Woman arrested after police say she threatened family member with knife

A woman was arrested Friday morning after police said she threatened a family member with a knife.

College Station police said it happened just after 7 a.m. Friday on the 1800 block of Potomac Drive. 

When officers arrived, the victim told police that the suspect, Klesia Liggins, 39, had been chasing him with a knife. The victim said that he and Liggins were related and had been in an argument. 

The victim told police that he had kept Liggins away from him with a shovel. 

Liggins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence. 

She is currently in the Brazos County Jail.
