A Bellmead man was arrested on aggravated assault charges after he hit his ex-girlfriend on the head with a beer bottle, an arrest affidavit says.
According to the arrest affidavit, police were called to a Bellmead home on May 26 to a report of an assault.
The victim got into a fight over a disabled vehicle with her ex-boyfriend, 58-year-old Dana Keith Richardson, who was also her roommate at the time.
The argument escalated when Richardson hit the victim on the head with a beer bottle, the affidavit says.
When officers arrived, the victim was bleeding from the top of her head.
An arrest warrant was issued for Richardson on June 19. He was taken to the McLennan County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on July 24.
