A woman was arrested and charged after getting into an argument with her roommate on Monday.

According to Bellmead police, officers responded to a disturbance at the 4300 block of Harrison Street. Melissa Cash, 44, wanted her 62-year-old roommate to move out, and an argument started over the situation.

The victim went into her room because she did not want to argue and attempted to shut her door. Cash pushed the door open as the victim tried to close it and caused the victim to fall and hurt herself.

The victim was provided medical assistance by first responders but was not transported to the hospital.

Cash was arrested and charged with injury to the disabled, a state jail felony. She was transported to McLennan County Jail.
