WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Traffic is slowly moving through Waco on Interstate 35 during Thursday's morning commute after two separate accidents in the northbound lanes.

Around 6:15 a.m., Waco firefighters and police responded to a crash in the 4000 block of I-35 near New Road involving an 18-wheeler and three other vehicles on Thursday morning.

The fire department says at least one person was entrapped. Waco police said one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

As police began to clear the scene, only one lane was open.

Police said around 8 a.m. an additional crash happened in the northbound lanes, causing more traffic in the area.

Expect delays if you are driving through this area.
