Fort Hood Fire & Emergency Services said a massive wildfire erupted on the Fort Hood training range causing a giant plume of smoke in the sky.
After the fire was assessed on Tuesday night, it was determined due to the location of the fire, crews were not able to make any suppression of containment efforts.
On Wednesday, crews will be attempting to contain the large fire, but Fort Hood Fire & Emergency Services says with the soaring temperatures and low expected humidity level, the sky-high smoke plume will likely be seen throughout the afternoon and evening.
