The Belton City Council voted unanimously to update their weekly brush pick up service on Tuesday.
Resident’s in Belton can put out up to 6-cubic-yards, or a pickup truck load, of brush and yard trimmings within three feet of the curb and the city will pick it up for a small fee. There is an additional charge for oversized loads or loads picked up on days outside the weekly scheduled pickup days.
City officials said they are not changing much but rather putting to paper what they are already putting into practice.
The city asks that residents be mindful of where they place the brush for pick up and avoid any areas that could put their drivers at risk.
