Temple Police arrested a 14-year-old juvenile after her grandparents tried to take away her cell phone on Friday.

According to Temple Police, an officer responded to the 2300 block of Ridgeway Drive for a domestic disturbance call. When they arrived, they detained a 14-year-old juvenile.

The 76-year-old grandmother and 71-year-old grandfather had visible injuries to their forearms that they said were caused by their granddaughter. The juvenile got upset when they tried to take away her cell phone.

The grandfather said she hit her grandmother in the head multiple times with a closed fist. With the family violence, injuries and ages of the victims, the juvenile was taken into custody for injury to elderly-family violence, according to Temple Police.

She was transported to Killeen Juvenile Detention Center.
