A Waco woman pleaded guilty on Thursday to a double murder that happened outside a Harker Heights Club in 2017.

Olishea LaShawn Smith has been at the Bell County Jail since March of 2017. She indicted on two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Damion Hopkins and Dexter Prather.

Police said that there were five shots fired from a handgun at Club Empire, which hit both of the victims. Police believe the fight that started the shooting was over a dice game.

Both crimes carry a sentence ranging of 5 to 99 years or life in prison. The sentencing for the 30-year-old woman will  take place in September in the 27th District Court. Both parties are expected to call witnesses during the hearing.
