Wilber Dimas, a victim of the Coryell Memorial Hospital explosion, died Sunday morning. He was in the intensive care unit at the Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas.

Wilber Antonio Dimas was one of the four injured workers transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, which has a burn program. Dimas' sister, Maricela, said he burnt on 70 percent of his body, including his face, back and upper torso.

"It's difficult for me as his sister to see him in bed, lying there, unable to speak, unable to move," Maricela said.

According to Maricela, the 30-year-old had been working for the subcontractor at the construction site since May. Adolfson & Peterson, the main contractor of the project, sent a statement on Wednesday stating the victims of the explosion worked for its subcontractor, Lochridge-Priest. The company released a statement later in the week stating only five of the workers recovering at hospitals were its employees.

"It's a little bit heartbreaking for everyone. It's not every day you wake up and experience something like this," Maricela said.

The Gatesville Police Department released a statement about the death of Dimas.
