Bryan police have arrested an 18-year-old for deadly conduct and tampering with physical evidence after they responded to a shooting at an apartment complex on Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened around 7:15 a.m. at the College Edge Apartments at 1512 Hollow Hill Drive.

Police said the suspect, 18-year-old Darwiche Jirbi, stepped out of one of the apartments in the complex and began shooting toward 25th Street. One of the bullets hit a vehicle. They do not know the motive the man had for the shooting.

Several roads were shut down on Tuesday morning while officers investigated.

Around 8 a.m., Jirbi left the apartment and was arrested without incident.

No injuries were reported from the shooting.
