Gods Motivations Joining Compassion To Asks People To Help Children In Poverty

June 13, 2018 – –

God’s Motivations, a Christian non-profit organization that aims to help people to live their lives according to the gospel, is collaborating with Compassion to ask people to give donations to help children in poverty. Through the Compassion website, several ways to donate are presented, including donations to help babies and mothers survive and thrive, donating to Compassion through the matching gifts program where the donor’s employer matches the amount donated, and incorporating charitable gifts in a person’s estate plans.

A representative from Gods Motivations says: “Proverbs 19:17 says ‘Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.’ We feel blessed to be working together with Compassion to help children in need across the world. We will ensure they receive education, healthcare, and stability and security. And most of all, we will ensure that this is done from the perspective of the Gospel. With your help, we can make a real difference to the world.”

Through Compassion, people can donate in a variety of different ways. People can also sponsor a child in poverty directly. The representative explains: “There is a list of children on the Compassion website that have been waiting six months for a sponsor. We were heartbroken to see this and immediately agreed to sponsor one each. We ask you to do the Christian thing and consider the same.”

There are numerous other opportunities for giving that God’s Motivations wants to point out as well. It is possible to include Compassion in a will, donating an estate upon someone’s passing. Alternatively, people can engage in non-cash giving, shopping at Amazon Smile where Compassion gets a donation from Amazon, helping US church leaders in looking for solutions for their global ministry goals, or buying from Compassion’s gift catalog where the gifts are sent to impoverished regions that will indirectly help children in poverty. For instance, vegetable seeds can be bought and these are sent to families who are at extreme risk of famine. Agricultural training will also be provided to these families to ensure that the plants will thrive and help in preventing food insecurity.

The representative says: “We don’t want anyone to feel pressured into sponsoring a child. There are lots of ways in which you can help and each of those ways is beneficial to children in poverty.”
