The Starburst Junior Golf Classic opened day two with a Central Texan leading the boys' division and in contention on the girls' side.
Cade Allison of Robinson hit the tee at Stone Tree golf course in Killeen leading the tournament. Thanks to some trouble with the water on hole five, Allison finished his day at plus five, but scorers have the Rocket tied for third overall.
Lorena product Corben Conradt went into day two way off the lead, but shot a smart plus three to pull himself up to a tie for 13th place.
On the women's side, Elle Fox of Copperas Cove improved nine strokes from day one to day two putting her at a tie for second according to scorers.
Final rounds for the boys' and girls' champions' division will be played Wednesday at Cottonwood Creek golf course.
