A McLennan County woman was arrested on May 22 for committing a false report to a peace officer, a Class B Misdemeanor.

According to the affidavit, Alexis Kirven was arrested on March 22 by two officers for outstanding traffic warrants. After the arrest, Kirven went on social media accusing officers Steiner and Pollard of sexual assault.

On March 29, Kirven made an official sworn complaint to the Mart Police Department against officers Steiner and Pollard for sexual harassment, according to the affidavit.

She accused Pollard of attempting to take her cell phone from inside her breast, and Steiner for touching her breast inappropriately.

After Kirven accused the two officers of sexual assault, a criminal investigation was launched, according to the affidavit.

During the investigation, three videos of Kirven’s arrest were found. Both officer’s body cameras and the vehicle camera. In the three videos, there was no evidence of inappropriate touching during the arrest.

Chief Cardenas and Mart City Attorneys, Charlie Buegner and Kathleen Dow Buegner, determined the arrest was lawful and no sexual contact was made.
