A local title company said fake services are sending homestead forms around Copperas Cove community and ask for money from the recipient.
Community Abstract & Title Company asks letter recipients not to send money to any alleged services regarding property. The company said the scammers are “intending to extort money from you while they instill fear or panic in property owners.”
Homestead designations forms are available from the County Tax Office for free. Just bring a photo ID and a copy of your Deed.
