Waco Police Officer receives national distinguished award

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Waco Police Officer Sofie Martinez has been selected as one of only two recipients for the 2018 Distinguished Advisor Award.

Officer Martinez received this award for her “tenure, character, and work ethic”, according to the Law Enforcement Exploring Committee, who presented the award.

“Congratulations on being selected as one of two Explorer advisors to be chosen, nationwide to receive this distinguished award. I am glad that your hard work and dedication in this program is being recognized,” said Police Chief Ryan Holt.
