With the Major League Baseball draft front and center tonight, Central Texas could be well represented with a few selections.

Out of their top 100 prospect rankings, MLB.com has Robinson RHP (and Baylor commit) Braxton Ashcraft ranked 64th. McClennan catcher Josh Breaux ranked 71, and while Temple infielder T.J. Rumfield isn't listed in the top 100 many projections have him going on the second day.

The Texas Tech commit isn't sold on going straight to the pros though. He plans on heading to Lubbock unless a major league club gives him a signing bonus that's enough to change his mind.

Breaux will be home in Tomball watching the draft with his family. Breaux's brother, Joe, was a standout for the Highlanders himself before going to Alabama last year. Both Breaux brothers were drafted last season in the 36th round, but since they chose to return to school they'll be eligible to be selected again.

As for Ashcraft, the flame throwing right hander will also be at home with family watching and hoping to hear his name called on night one.

"It's a huge night for sure, but we're trying not to make a big deal out of it," said Ashcraft.

TV coverage for the MLB draft starts at 6 on the MLB network.
