Rangers release six game homestand schedule

The Rangers return to Globe Life Park in Arlington tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5, to open a six game homestand against a pair of division foes.

A two game set with the Oakland Athletics is up first, with 7:05 p.m. matchups on Tuesday, June 5, and Wednesday, June 6.

On Tuesday, the first 20,000 fans will receive an MLB Network Tote Bag.

Wednesday marks another Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night.

The Houston Astros arrive Thursday for another installment of the Silver Boot Series presented by The Texas Lottery. Texas is 4-6 against the Astros in 2018, with nine contests remaining in the season series.

On Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, the Rangers and Astros will square off at 7:05 p.m. The series continues Saturday, June 9, with a 6:15 p.m. contest. A 2:05 p.m. game Sunday, June 10 wraps up the homestand.

Texas Rangers FOX Sports Southwest University Days return Friday, with Baylor University being featured. Fans can purchase tickets for Baylor UDays at texasrangers.com/udays and arrive early to receive a special edition, Rangers cap themed in Bears colors. The hats are distributed on a first come, first served basis. 

The Rangers and the Fort Worth Zoo will celebrate the first birthday of everyone’s favorite giraffe on Friday with Beltre the Giraffe Theme Night. Fans who purchase tickets for the game through texasrangers.com/themenights will receive an exclusive Beltre the Giraffe bobblehead.

Friday Fireworks, presented by Dairy MAX, will follow the contest and be to sing-along songs.

Prior to Saturday’s game, Rangers and Astros players will compete in the Dairy MAX Cow Milking competition on the field at 5:20 p.m.

As part of MLB’s Play Ball Weekend, Globe Life Park will host the MLB Team Championship Round of the Scotts MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition for the Rangers’ MLB geographic market prior to Saturday’s contest.

The completion is for baseball and softball players ages 7U to 14U. Participants in Saturday’s event have advanced through local and sectional rounds of competition.

The eight champions from Saturday’s action will be honored on the field before the game. Out of all 30 MLB Team Championships, the top three scores in each division will advance to the National Finals at MLB All-Star Week.  

On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Dairy MAX Joey Gallo Tape Measure Bobblehead.

The homestand concludes Sunday, when Rangers MLB Play Ball Plastic Ball & Bat Sets will be distributed to fans 13 and younger.

Sunday is also another Blue Bell Ice Cream Sunday, with $1 ice cream for those 13 and younger.
