A 3-year-old boy is dead after drowning at a pool in Gholson on Monday.
According to McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara, the boy wandered out to the pool and either fell or stepped in.
The grandmother was at home with the 3-year-old boy and her 6-year-old granddaughter at the time. She found the boy a few minutes later.
Parnell said the medics performed CPR, and the boy was taken to the hospital. He was declared dead at the hospital.
