Thanks to a hardworking and artistic group of Temple High School students, Downtown Temple has become a little more colorful through dumpster art.

Nancy Glover, Temple’s CVB Manager, said that Temple “has been trying to add more art elements to the downtown area and now have these beautiful pieces… each one is unique and shows artistic vision of the group of students who participated.”

The students who participated in the project are: Alvin Atkinson, Keneisha Bailey, Arryon Blocker, Adrien Cantu, Kennedy Cox, Marina Dorame, Abigail Flores, Sebastian Galindo, Jahir Gandara, Alexus Griffin, Bianca Ingram, Davinesha Lockett, Cain Lopez, Tommy Nguyen, Isabel Poehlmann, Jasmine Rodriguez, Divantae Scholars, Akaya Stewart, and Natalie Winskowski.

The students were given this project to beautify the Downtown Temple dumpsters over the course of the year.

Glover added that the City of Temple would also like to thank the Temple Independent School District, and, especially, Ms.Veronica Landers, Temple High School Visual Arts.
