Mobb City Hip Hop held a charity softball game and balloon release in honor of Justin Bible on Saturday, June 2.

Bible was murdered in the parking lot of Red Lobster in Waco on May 1, 2018.

Friends, family, and label mates of Mobb City Hip Hop wanted to make sure the legacy of Bible is not forgotten.

To start the game, a few kind words were spoken and a balloon release was done in his honor.

Bible helped plan the event where he was honored today.

"He was going to play in this game, and by him not being here today we just still want to represent him like he's still here, and when I told him about the softball game he was a little bit more excited than I was, so I most definitely knew that we can kinda pull it off still regardless of the tragedy," said event organizer Charod Laws.

15 percent of the proceeds from the event will go to the Salvation Army.

The softball game took place at Brooklyn Park in Waco.

Aside from the softball game, participants enjoyed food and music.
