Sirena Fest hosted the Lone Star Legends Mer-folk Music Festival in Salado on Friday to raise money for an all-inclusive park.

There was live music, food and vendors and even an inflatable water slide for kids. This event was to help raise money to build an all-inclusive playground in Salado that gives children with disabilities a place to play.

Sirena Fest, which gets its name from a Native American Mermaid legend in Salado, said it will take at least $100,000 to build the park and they are still a long way from reaching that goal.

Sirena Fest said they are holding several more events over the next two years to raise the money for the park.
