Former Highlanders competing in NCAA baseball tournament

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Six former McLennan Highlander baseball players will be competing with their teams in the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Championships beginning with today’s regionals.
Griffin Williams and the Columbia Lions are playing the Florida Gators in the 11 a.m. game at the Gainesville Regional. Coverage is available on ESPN3.
 
Noah McGowan and Brendan Venter will take the field with their teams beginning at 1 p.m. McGowan and the Ohio State Buckeyes will face the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Greenville Regional. That game will be broadcast on ESPN2. Venter and the Auburn Tigers will face the Northeastern Huskies in the Raleigh Regional. Coverage of that game is also available on ESPN3.
 
Cole Haring, Tucker Johnson, Collin Sharp and the Baylor Bears will face the Cal State Fullerton Titans at 4 p.m. in the Stanford Regional with coverage on ESPN3.
