A 42-year-old man has been indicted in a case where detectives say he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.

McLennan County detectives learned the victim was personally known to the man, Raymond Earl Rogers, and that he was frequently in the company with the victim.

According to the arrest affidavit,  Rogers sexually assaulted the victim on three different occasions: in his truck and at his home in Riesel. Rogers also bought the 14-year-old an engagement-style ring.

Detectives searched the victim's cell phone and found conversations where the two frequently said they loved each other. One conversation references a pregnancy. Detectives believe the 14-year-old was pregnant but say she possibly had a miscarriage.

On May 24, Rogers was arrested for trafficking of a minor. He was booked into the McLennan County Jail. Rogers was indicted on Aug. 30.
