The Texas Department of Public Safety said that a woman died in an accident on U.S. 190, about 1 mile east of San Saba on Tuesday evening.
DPS said that a 2015 Chevrolet Trax SUV was traveling westbound, and a 2010 Dodge pickup was traveling eastbound. The Chevrolet crossed the center stripe into the path of the Dodge, causing the vehicles to crash head-on.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 32-year-old Ashley Torres of San Saba, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge was transported to the hospital with incapacitating injuries.
