Oncor said that they are aware of scammers targeting the Waco area on Tuesday.
The company said that scammers are calling customers and using fraudulent automated voice recordings. They also said some people are going door-to-door claiming to be Oncor employees.
Scammers have been demanding payments for an outstanding balance or threaten to disconnect power.
Oncor said they will never request payment to prevent your power from being disconnected.
