McLennan’s Greene earns TABC honor

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

McLennan Community College men's basketball assistant coach Jamaal Greene was named the 2017-18 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Junior College Assistant Coach of the Year at the TABC Coaches' Clinic in San Antonio.

Greene, in his seventh year at McLennan, helped lead the Highlanders to a third consecutive North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Championship with a 9-3 record and a 16th consecutive appearance in the Region V Tournament. The Highlanders finished the season with an overall record of 27-5 after a heartbreaking loss to the eventual national champion South Plains in the regional semifinals.
