A high school student from Copperas Cove was killed on Sunday after a crash in Williamson County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
DPS said 18-year-old Sihyeon Ryu Stephans was driving northbound on US 183 near Liberty Hill when she drove off the roadway, overcorrected and skidded into the southbound lane.
A second vehicle attempted to slow down but struck Stephan's Mazda Protege. Stephans was ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Copperas Cove Independent School District confirmed they are mourning the loss of a student. Stephans was set to graduate at the end of the semester, and she had her senior photos taken last week.
Her memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25 at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove (300 W Avenue B, Copperas Cove TX 76522).
