Waco Police have arrested a man after he struck a woman with power tools, a drill and picture frames, according to the arrest affidavit.

On June 18, 2017, an officer was sent to an Urgent Care in Lacy Lakeview where he spoke with a woman who had serious bruising and red marks on her neck.

The woman refused to name the suspect, whom she said she was scared of, but said he hit her with his fists, kicked her, threw her down and hit her with "anything he could find," the affidavit said.

Her injuries were so severe, Urgent Care told the victim she needed to go to the hospital.

She refused to give a statement and did not want to press charges because she was afraid of him.

Police said the incident happened in the 700 block of E. Craven Avenue.

The officer was able to identify the man as 56-year-old Jerry Campos.

Campos was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the McLennan County Jail on May 20, 2018. His bond has been set at $100,000.
