Texas A&M junior Samantha Show tossed a one-hit shutout and five Aggies recorded a multi-hit game as the Aggie softball team overpowered Prairie View A&M, 9-0, Friday night at the NCAA College Station Regional at Davis Diamond.

The Aggies (41-16) pounded out 12 hits behind Show’s (12-5) dominating performance. The East Bernard, Texas, native struck out two and allowed only two baserunners on a single and a hit by pitch. The shutout marks the sixth of the season for Show.

Offensively, the top four hitters in the Aggie lineup, Keeli Milligan, Sarah Hudek, Tori Vidales and Kelbi Fortenberry, accounted for eight hits and scored seven runs. Vidales blasted her 12th homer of the season as the Texas A&M plated four runs in the first. Kaitlyn Alderink also added a multi-hit game as the junior went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Prairie View A&M (20-22) starter Crystal Castillo suffered the loss, giving up six runs on eight hits in three innings of work.
