A man is jail Wednesday after McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said he made terroristic comments about the Jack Harwell Detention Center.
McNamara said the man was at the detention center and made some terroristic threats to some of the guards. He drove off in a van. Deputies followed him to Gurley Lane near S. 25th Street in Waco.
Deputies used a loud speaker to talk him out of the van, McNamara said.
A woman and child were in the car with him when the man left the detention center.
The man was arrested for terroristic threat against a correctional institution.
