The Texas Department of Public Safety has increased the reward of up to $6,000 for information that could lead to the arrests of those responsible for the disappearance of Monica Carrasco.
Carrasco was discovered missing from her aunt and uncle’s home on Oct. 3, 2003, in Reeves County, near Balmorhea. She was 16-years-old and was last seen wearing a beige nightgown. The only thing discovered missing from her room was her Bible.
Monica’s whereabouts are still unknown by law enforcement, and she has made no contact with her family and friends since her disappearance.
