A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League is teaming up with Academy Sports and Outdoors to give Texas women a chance to try out guns in a safe environment on May 17.
Founder Julianna Crowder started the group in 2010, and now has more than 5,000 members in cities across the nation.
Facilitator for the Temple Chapter of A Girl and A Gun Becky Dolgener said the purpose of the group is for women to feel safe and comfortable around a gun.
The Temple chapter welcomes interested women to girls’ night out on the first Tuesday of each month throughout the year.
