Officials identify the man who was found on the bank of the Brazos River

FALLS COUNTY, TX (KXXV) -

Falls County officials said they found the body of 37-year-old Marlin man who went missing on Tuesday evening. The body was found on a bank of the Brazos River.

Officials identified the man as David Lynn Nutt Junior. 

Officials said that two people were trying to cross the river on horseback, and they didn’t make it across. One person was found on a nearby bank and was transported to the hospital.

They were moving cattle at the time of the incident at Moon River Ranch.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Game Wardens, Chilton Volunteer Fire Department, Golinda Volunteer Fire Department and Hill County Emergency Management assisted in the search.
