People in Killeen are asking for money after gas that contained water cause problems with their cars.
As many as five people have gone back to the Exxon station off Old 440 and Central Texas Expressway in Killeen asking them to cover vehicle repairs, all claiming that their cars either started running bad or broke down shortly after getting gas there Friday evening. Some people even asked for cash on the spot.
After inspection, the company determined there was a small amount of water in the gas and believed it came from the heavy rain on May 4.
The store says they do not give out cash but, those affected can go through their insurance to cover any damages.
Pumps were shut down over the weekend for servicing and the store is assuring customers the gas no longer contains water.
