CORSICANA, TX (KXXV) -

The Corsicana Police Department said they arrested a woman who pulled a bag of marijuana from between her legs and ate it during a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Officers said they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation while leaving a motel. During the traffic stop, the driver provided consent to search the vehicle.

During the search, detectives found a certain amount of meth in a backpack that was in the front passenger seat.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Navarro County Jail for possession of meth.

While getting searched at the jail, the woman pulled a bag of marijuana from between her legs and ate it before the jail staff was able to stop her.

The woman was taken to the hospital for precautionary treatment and was shortly cleared and taken back to jail.

The woman was charged with tampering with evidence and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
